Express 3/4 Ton Van V8-5.7L VIN R (1998)
2. Drain the engine coolant.
3. The front left side, and rear heater pipe connections.
4. The heater pipe retainers from the vehicles body.
5. With a tubing cutter or an equivalent tool, cut the heater pipes into sections to remove from the vehicle.
Install or Connect
1. The first section of the heater pipes to the auxiliary heater.
2. The second section of the heater pipes, and join connectors to the first section heater pipes.
3. The third section of the heater pipes and join connectors to the second section heater pipes.
4. The front left side and rear heater pipe connections.
5. The heater pipe retainers to the vehicles body.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Fill the engine coolant.
8. Verify no coolant leaks.
Intermediate Heater Pipe
Intermediate Auxiliary Heater Pipe
Remove or Disconnect
1. Drain the coolant.
2. The exhaust system as necessary.
3. The heat shields from the vehicle.
4. The heater hose connections from the front inlet and outlet pipe.
5. The heater hose connections at the rear heater pipes.
6. The retainers from the vehicles body.
7. The intermediate heater pipe from the vehicle.
Install or Connect
1. The intermediate heater pipe to the vehicle.
2. The retainers to the vehicles body.
Tighten

The retainers to the body to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
3. The heater hose connections at the rear heater pipes.
4. The heater hose connections to the front inlet and outlet pipe.
5. The heat shields to the vehicle.
6. The exhaust system as necessary.
7. Refill the coolant.
