Steering Wheel: Service and Repair

J 1859-03 Steering Wheel Puller
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to "Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module."
2. Mark the relationship of the steering wheel to the column.
3. The steering wheel retaining clip and nut.
4. Using J 1859-03, remove the steering wheel from the column.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. With the marked relationship references in line. install the steering wheel onto the column.
2. The steering wheel nut.

Tighten the steering wheel nut to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. The steering wheel retaining clip.
4. The inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to "Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module."
