Express 3/4 Ton Van V8-6.5L DSL Turbo VIN F (1999)
1. Lube the new O-ring with engine oil.
IMPORTANT: Take care when handling the sensor. Damage to the sensor will affect the operation of the injection timing control system.
2. Install the sensor in the engine.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the sensor mounting bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the mounting bolt to 25 N.m (17 lb ft).
4. Install the sensor harness connector.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the PCM electrical harness is properly routed to avoid contact with the Engine Cover during installation.
5. Install the engine cover.
6. Connect the negative battery cables.
7. Refer to PCM Replacement/Programming (TDC Offset). This procedure must be done when a crankshaft position sensor is replaced. See:
