1. Install the side rear door lower door latch (2) to the door.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (4) that retain the side rear door lower latch (2) to the door.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Connect the side rear door lower latch lock rod (1) to the side rear door lower latch (2).
4. Install the side rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door - 60/40 Right (E24, 40 Door)  (See: Rear Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the bolts that retain the rear door wedge to the door.
2. Remove the rear door wedge from the door.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear door wedge to the door.
