1. Install the vacuum pump to the vehicle.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the vacuum pump retaining bolts and tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb in).
3. Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump.
4. Connect the vacuum pump electrical connector.
5. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance

Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair) for the 4.3L engine, or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and
Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair) for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L and 7.0L
engine, or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner
Housing/Service and Repair) for the 6.6L engine.
