Express 3500 V8-6.6L DSL Turbo (2008)
Installation Procedure
1. Install NEW O-ring seals onto the oil level indicator tube.
2. Lightly lubricate the O-ring seals with engine oil.
3. Install the oil level indicator tube.
4. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (4.3L) Starter Motor Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L) Starter Motor
Replacement (6.6L) .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .
5. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt at the indicator tube bracket.
Tighten the bolt to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).
6. Install the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (See: Cooling System/Coolant Reservoir/Service and Repair) .
7. Install the oil level indicator.
