6. Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
Installation Procedure
1. Install NEW O-ring seals onto the oil level indicator tube.
2. Lightly lubricate the O-ring seals with engine oil.
3. Install the oil level indicator tube.
4. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Replacement (V6) (See: Starting and Charging/Starting System/Starter Motor/Service and Repair/Starter

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
5. Install the oil level indicator tube bolt at the indicator tube bracket and tighten to 21 Nm (15 lb ft).
6. Install the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (See: Cooling System/Coolant Reservoir/Service and Repair).
7. Install the oil level indicator.
