Dome Lamp: Description and Operation
Voltage is supplied at all times from the HORN-DM Fuse to the Stepwell Courtesy Lamps, Dome Lamps and Reading Lamps. The Courtesy Lamps
and Dome Lamps turn on when a ground path is provided by the Light Switch or one of the Door Jamb Switches.
Vehicles with the lamp group option have a switch mounted on the instrument panel which allows the Dome Lamps and Stepwell Lamps to be turned
off when the doors are open.
Ground for the various lamps is provided through the 156 circuit and the Door Jamb Switches.
A parallel ground path is provided by the Light Switch and the 150 circuit. Rotating the headlamp switch knob all the way counterclockwise switches
circuit 156 to ground even if all doors are closed.
