Brake Pad: Service and Repair
Suspending The Caliper
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Brake caliper.
CAUTION: Suspend the caliper. Do not let it hang by brake hose.
Removing The Outboard Shoe And Lining
2. Outboard shoe and lining (5).

Use a screwdriver to disengage the buttons on the pad from the holes in the caliper housing.
3. Inboard shoe and lining (7).
4. Inspect mounting bolts, key, spring, and sleeves for corrosion. Replace if any is found. Inspect bolt boots for nicks, cuts, or corrosion. Replace if
any are found.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to polish away corrosion.
NOTE: Clean the caliper assembly and install a new brake hardware kit any time it is removed from the rotor.
