G 1500 1/2 Ton Van V6-4.3L VIN W (1997)
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The front brake hose to the vehicle.
2. The front brake hose with new gaskets.
3. The front brake hose and retaining bolt to the front brake caliper.

Tighten the front brake hose retaining bolt to the caliper to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
4. The front brake hose retaining bolt and bracket to the upper control arm.
5. The retaining nut and retaining clip to the front brake hose.

Tighten the front brake hose retaining bracket bolt and nut to the upper control arm to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
6. The front brake pipe to the brake hose.

Tighten the front brake pipe-to the brake hose to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
CAUTION: The hose must not be twisted or contact any suspension components after installation.
7. Bleed the brakes. See: Service and Repair
Front Brake Pipe to the Front Brake Hose
WARNING: Always use double-walled steel brake pipe when replacing brake pipes. The use of any other pipe is not recommended and may
cause brake system failure. Carefully route and retain replacement brake pipes. Always use the correct fasteners and the original location for
replacement brake pipes. Failure to properly route and retain brake pipes may cause damage to the brake pipes and brake system failure.
Brake pipes that run parallel to each other must maintain a 6 mm (1/4 inch) clearance.
