Heater Hose: Service and Repair
Primary Heating System
Tool Required:
J 39529 Heater Hose Pliers
Remove or Disconnect
1. Drain engine coolant.
2. The hose clamps.
3. The hose support clamps, brackets, and/or retainers, as necessary.
4. The inlet and outlet hoses from the fittings using J 39529.
5. The inlet and outlet hoses from the water valve.
Install or Connect
1. The inlet and outlet hoses to the water valve.
2. The inlet and outlet hoses to fittings using J 39529.
3. The hose support clamps, brackets, and/or retainers, if removed.
4. The hose clamps.
5. Fill engine coolant. Verify the system for leaks.
