Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair
Idle Air Control (IAC) Reset Procedure
With Scan Tool
1. Turn the ignition ON, engine OFF.
2. Install a scan tool.
3. Select F4 Misc. Tests.
4. Select F3 IAC System.
5. Select F1 IAC Reset.
6. Use up arrow to reset IAC.
Without Scan Tool
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for 5 seconds.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position for 10 seconds.
3. Start the engine.
4. Check for the proper idle operation.
