Install or Connect
1. The shackle to the vehicle.
2. The lower retaining bolt to the shackle.

A new bolt and nut must be used whenever service has been performed.
3. The upper retaining bolt to the shackle.

A new bolt and nut must be used whenever service has been performed.

Tighten the upper and lower shackle retaining bolt to 90 Nm (67 ft. lbs.)
4. The tire and wheel.
5. Lower the vehicle.

the fastener. When you Install fasteners, use the correct tightening sequence and specifications. Following these instructions can help you avoid damage
to parts and systems.
Remove or Disconnect
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist and support the rear axle to relieve tension from the rear springs, using a suitable jack stand.
