Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The stoplamp switch. Refer to Lighting and Horns.
2. The power brake booster pushrod from the brake pedal.
3. The I/P harness from the bracket.
4. The bolt from the upper brake pedal bracket.
5. The nuts from the power brake booster.
6. The pedal bracket from the vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The pedal bracket to the vehicle.
2. The nuts to the power brake booster.

Tighten the power brake booster retaining nuts to 36 Nm (ft. lbs. ft).
3. The bolt to the upper brake pedal bracket.
^
Tighten the upper brake pedal bolt to 36 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
4. The I/P harness to the bracket.
5. The power brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal.
6. The stoplamp switch.
7. Check the pedal travel. See: Adjustments
