Valve Cover: Service and Repair
Installation
1. Install a new valve rocker arm cover gasket.
2. Install the valve rocker arm cover.
3. Install the valve rocker arm cover bolts.

Tighten the valve rocker arm cover bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
4. Install the components as follows for the left hand valve rocker arm cover
a. The air conditioning compressor and the bracket.
b. The EGR valve inlet pipe
c. The PCV and the hose
5. Install the components as follows for the right hand valve rocker arm cover
a. The purge solenoid and vacuum lines
b. The crankcase ventilation hose
c. The oil level indicator tube bracket
6. Install the wiring harnesses and all electrical connectors to the valve rocker arm cover clips.
7. Install the spark plug wires.
8. Install the air cleaner assembly and the intake duct.
9. Install the coolant reservoir bottle.
10. Install the engine cover.
11. Connect the battery negative cable assembly to the battery negative terminal.

Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
