Install or Connect
1. The rear shackle to the rear spring.
2. The nut and bolt to the shackle.
3. The rear spring to the vehicle.
4. The rear spring to the front frame hanger.

A new bolt and nut must be used whenever service has been performed.

Tighten the rear spring to the front hanger nut to 110 Nm + 20° turn (80 ft. lbs.).
5. The rear spring shackle to the rear frame hanger.

A new bolt and nut must be used whenever service has been performed.

Tighten the rear shackle to the rear frame hanger and rear spring to 90 Nm (67 ft. lbs.).
6. The rear spring U-bolts and anchor plates to the axle.
Important: Tighten the outer U-Bolt nuts and then inner U-Bolt nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Then tighten U-Bolt nuts in a cross pattern sequence
as shown, using the following specifications.

The U-bolt nuts as follows:

For vehicles below 7300 GVW 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).

For vehicles above 7300 GVW 150 Nm (115 ft. lbs.).
7. The tire and wheel.
8. Remove the axle support and lower the vehicle.
Rear Auxiliary Spring
Remove or Disconnect
1. Using a flat bladed tool, pry out the auxiliary spring from the frame.
Install or Connect
1. The auxiliary spring to the frame by pushing upward and twisting the spring into the frame cup until properly secured.
