EGR/EPR SOLENOID ASSEMBLY MAY FAIL

1984 C/K/G 10-20 MODEL TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 6.2L LIGHT DUTY EMISSION
DIESEL ENGINE (RPO LH6) AND CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS (RPO YF5)

General Motors has determined that some 1984 C/K/G 10-20 Model Trucks equipped with a 6.2L Light Duty Emission Diesel
Engine (RPO LH6) and California Emissions (RPO YF5) may emit pollutants in excess of Federal Emissions Standards.

The adhesive used to assemble the rubber vacuum manifold halves of the EGR/EPR Solenoid Assembly may deteriorate and result in
vacuum leaks. Vacuum leakage renders the EGR/EPR solenoids inoperative, which may result in failure to meet NOx emission
standards.

Involved are certain 1984 C/K/G 10-20 Model Trucks equipped with a 6.2L Light Duty Emission Diesel Engine (RPO LH6) and
California Emissions (RPO YF5), built within the following breakpoints:

DEALER CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY

Dealers are to service all vehicles subject to this campaign at no charge to owners, regardless of mileage, age of vehicle, or ownership, from this time
forward.

Whenever a vehicle subject to this campaign is taken into your new or used  vehicle inventory, or it is in your dealership for service in the future, you
should take the steps necessary to be sure the campaign correction has been made before reselling or releasing the vehicle.

Owners of vehicles recently sold from your new vehicle inventory are to be contacted by the dealer, and arrangements made to make the required
modification according to instructions contained in this bulletin.
