The inside of the compressor around the shaft (38). Prevent dust and dirt from entering compressor.
2. Sleeve retainer (10).
3. Absorbent felt sleeve (11).
Removing/Installing The Shaft Seal Seat Retaining Ring
4. Shaft seal seat retaining ring (12) with J 5403.
Removing/Installing The Shaft Seal Seat And O-Ring
5. Shaft seal seat (13).

Engage J 23128-A into the recessed portion of the seat by turning to the right (clockwise).

Lift the seat (13) from the compressor with a rotary motion.
