Unlock adjuster lock, pull inner and outer adjuster bodies apart while holding cable at positions (A) and (B). Bowl lock will hit at gearshift bowl.

Remove solenoid protector.
The lock button must be disengaged to allow cable movement. Push cable towards solenoid until the bowl lock hits bowl and travel stops. (Do not bow
or bend inner cable wire between cable housing and cable fitting.)

Let cable move back 1.0 to 2.0 mm.
6.
Engage lock button.
7.
Install solenoid protector (M-Van only).
8.
Check system operation. Refer to Step 13 of vacuum release valve replacement above.
IMPORTANT:
During Inspection and Adjustment of interlock solenoid assembly, solenoid will become hot.
9.
Re-adjust if needed. If operating properly, proceed to step 10.

Reinstall knee bolster (G-Van only)
