Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

    When installing radio, be sure to adjust antenna trimmer for peak reception.

G MODELS

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove engine cover.

3.

Remove air cleaner cover and filter element. On some models, it may be necessary to remove the air cleaner stud to gain sufficient clearance to
remove radio.

4.

Remove control knobs, washers and retaining nuts from control shafts.

5.

Remove mounting bracket retaining screw, then the bracket.

6.

Push radio forward, then lower assembly until electrical connector and antenna lead can be disconnected.

7.

Remove radio from vehicle.

8.

Reverse procedure to install.
