Antenna Mast: Service and Repair

Power Antenna Mast

Assembly Tool And Tubes Assemblies

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT  

1. The upper antenna mast mounting nut.
2. Turn ignition to the ON position.
3. Turn the radio on.
4. Have a helper guide the antenna mast as it moves out from the antenna assembly.
5. Pull the antenna mast from the antenna assembly.
6. The antenna mast from the vehicle.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. The antenna mast to the vehicle.
2. With the radio ON, start the antenna mast into the antenna assembly until resistance is felt.
3. With the aide of an assistant, turn the radio off and feed the plastic cable and the mast into the antenna base.
4. Insert the mast section into the antenna housing with the serrated side of the plastic cable facing the power antenna motor.

If the plastic cable does not retract into the antenna housing rotate the cable clockwise and/or counterclockwise until the cable retracts into the
antenna housing.
