G 2500 3/4 Ton Van V8-305 5.0L VIN M SFI (1997)
WARNING: Always use double-walled steel brake pipe when replacing brake pipes. The use of any other pipe is not recommended and may
cause brake system failure. Carefully route and retain replacement brake pipes. Always use the correct fasteners and the original location for
replacement brake pipes. Failure to properly route and retain brake pipes may cause damage to the brake pipes and brake system failure.
Brake pipes that run parallel to each other must maintain a 6 mm (1/4 inch) clearance.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. The rear brake front pipe from the rear brake rear pipe at brass fitting.
2. The rear brake rear pipe from the rear brake hose.
3. The brake pipe retainers from the frame.
4. The rear brake rear pipe from the vehicle.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. The rear brake rear pipe to the vehicle.
2. The brake pipe retainers to the frame.
3. The rear brake rear pipe to the rear brake hose.

Tighten the rear brake pipe to the rear brake hose to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
4. The rear brake front pipe to the rear brake rear pipe at brass fitting.
^
Tighten the rear brake front pipe to the brass fitting to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
