Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair
Tube Adapters
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise vehicle and properly support.
2. Three Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU) shield bolts.
3. EHCU shield.
4. Appropriate brake line from the tube adapter.
5. Tube adapter.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. New tube adapter.

Tighten tube adapter to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).
2. Brake line.
^
Tighten brake line to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
3. EHCU shield.
4. Three EHCU shield bolts.
^
Tighten three bolts to 12 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).
5. Bleed the system. See: Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Service and Repair
NOTE: If more than one tube adapter is to be removed at one time, the Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) should be stamped with a
number (1, 2 or 3) to correspond with the number of grooves cut into the tube adapters. This will aid in proper reassembly.
