Tie Rod: Service and Repair

J 6627-A Wheel Stud Puller and Tie Rod Remover
-
J 29193 Steering Linkage Installer (12 mm)
Important: Do not attempt to free the ball stud by using a pickle fork or wedge-type tool; seal or bushing damage could result. Use the proper tool to
separate all ball joints.
Remove or Disconnect
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. The nut from the outer tie rod ball studs.
3. The outer tie rod ball studs from the steering knuckles using J 6627-A.
4. The inner tie rod ball studs from the relay rod with J 6627-A.
