INTERMEDIATE SHAFT FLAT PLUG
The intermediate steering shafts on some units were built with a flat plug installed on the steering shaft dust cover instead of a zerk fitting. The shaft can
be lubricated by removing the flat plug shown in the illustration and by installing a 1/4" zerk fitting, P/N 9417901, in its place. The flat plug MUST BE
REINSTALLED after the shaft has been lubricated, as an interference condition exists between the zerk fitting and island mounting bracket.
P/N 9417901 can be procured through WDDGM.
