The vent filter should be checked when the vehicle has been operating under dusty or muddy conditions or in extensive off-road use.
Plugged EGR Solenoid Assembly Vent Filter
If the vent filter should become plugged, the EGR may be on full time resulting in black smoke and/or reduced response from the engine. Should you
encounter this condition, check the EGR solenoid assembly vent filter and replace if necessary. Replacement filters are available from WDDGM as P/N
6488126.
