Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle, then drain oil pan and disconnect oil pressure gauge tube.
3.
Remove flywheel cover strut rods, then the cover.
4.
Disconnect oil cooler lines from filter housing.
5.
On 4WD models, disconnect vent hose from front axle assembly.
6.
Remove starter motor and engine mount through bolts.
7.
Using a suitable engine jack raise engine to allow access to oil pan bolts.
8.
Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan.
9.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten oil pan-to-engine block attaching bolts to specification.
