Parts required to complete this campaign are to be obtained from General Motors Service Parts Operations (GMSPO). To ensure these parts will be
obtained as soon as possible, they should be ordered from GMSPO on a "C.I.O." order with no special instruction code, but on an advise code (2).
TRANSMISSION INFORMATION
IMPORTANT:
Transmission cores must be returned to GMSPO as the new transmission is installed. The original transmission assembly must be placed in the
replacement transmission container and returned through the customary GMSPO process.

WITHIN THE JULIAN DATE AS OUTLINED. IF THE DIE NUMBER OR DATES NOT WITHIN THE GUIDELINES, THE TRANSMISSION
IS NOT INVOLVED AND NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED.
Owner Notification & Dealer Campaign Responsibility
OWNER NOTIFICATION
Owners will be notified of this campaign on their vehicles by Chevrolet Motor Division (see copy of owner letter included with this bulletin)
DEALER CAMPAIGN RESPONSIBILITY
Dealers will need to inspect all 4L80-E Goodwrench Transmission Assemblies in their parts inventory for suspect 4L80-E transmission assemblies. The
dealer will also need to contact customers who purchased a 4L80-E Goodwrench Transmission Assembly over the counter or dealer traded a unit
between December 15, 1994 and January 20, 1995.
All unsold new vehicles in dealers' possession and subject to this campaign must be held and inspected/repaired per the service procedure of this
