Install or Connect
NOTICE: Always use the correct fastener In the proper location. When you replace a fastener, use ONLY the exact part number for that application.
The manufacturer will call out those fasteners that require a replacement after removal. The manufacturer will also call out the fasteners that require
thread lockers or thread sealant. UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED, do not use supplemental coatings (paints, greases, or other corrosion inhibitors)
on threaded fasteners or fastener joint interfaces. Generally, such coatings adversely affect the fastener torque and joint clamping force, and may
damage the fastener. When you Install fasteners, use the correct tightening sequence and specifications. Following these instructions can help you
avoid damage to parts and systems.
1. The coil spring and the insulator on the lower control arm.

Secure the spring with a chain through the spring and the control arm.

Be sure the spring insulator is on top and in its proper position.

Use J 23028-01 to support the control arm.
2. The lower control arm in place on the frame.

Guide the control arm into place with a pry bar.
3. The lower control arm pivot with new bolts and nuts.

Insert and tighten the front bolt first, then the rear bolt and nut.

Remove the chain and the jack.
Important: Refer to mandatory bolt direction of installation.

Tighten the lower control nuts to 155 Nm (115 ft. lbs.).

Front nut must be tightened before the rear nut.

The nuts must be tightened with the control arm at "Z" height. A

7. Remove the safety stands.
8. Lower the vehicle.
