Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Front Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the left front wheel.
2. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).
3. Remove the retainer bolt.
4. Remove the retainer.
5. Remove the VSS.
6. Remove and discard the O-ring.
Installation Procedure
1. Lubricate a new O-ring with transmission fluid. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants.
2. Install the new O-ring.
