Glove Compartment Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) COMPARTMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door latch release handle.
2. Insert the key into the I/P compartment door lock cylinder.
3. Insert a small diameter tool into the slot on the side of the door lock cylinder housing.
4. Depress the tool into the lock cylinder slot and turn the key 1/4-turn clockwise.

IMPORTANT:  Note the position of the lock cylinder on removal for installation.

5. Remove the lock cylinder.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
