CAMPAIGN IDENTIFICATION LABEL
Each vehicle modified in accordance with the instructions outlined in this Product Campaign Bulletin will require a "Campaign Identification Label".
Each label provides a space to include the five digit dealer code of the dealer performing the campaign service. This information may be inserted with a
typewriter or ballpoint pen.
Each "Campaign identification Label" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when the vehicle is brought in for
periodic servicing by the owner.
Apply "Campaign Identification Label" only on a clean dry surface.

Dear Chevrolet Owner:
Chevrolet Motor Division has determined that some early 1983 Full Size Chevrolet Models equipped with RPO LF9 (diesel engine) and a base
instrument cluster have a wire omitted in the engine coolant temperature warning circuit. Without this wire, the temperature light will not illuminate
should the engine overheat.
To prevent the possibility of this condition occurring on your vehicle, it will be necessary that a wire be installed in the engine temperature warning
circuit.
To correct this condition on your vehicle, please contact your Chevrolet Dealer to arrange a service date. Your dealer will install the omitted temperature
wire. The labor time to install this jumper wire is approximately 20 minutes. Please allow additional time for the dealer to process your vehicle.
Instructions have been sent to your dealer. The service will be performed at no charge to you.
The enclosed owner reply card identifies your vehicle. Presentation of this card to your dealer will assist them in making the necessary correction to your
vehicle in the shortest possible time. If you have sold or traded your vehicle, please let us know by completing the postage paid owner reply card and
returning it to us.
