1. Coat the thread of the ECT sensor with sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the ECT sensor.

Tighten the sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

3. Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector (1).
4. Refill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (9C1, 9C3 Static Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4,

LZG, 9C1, 9C3, GE47716 Fill) Cooling System Draining and Filling (LZE, LZ4, LZG, Static Fill).
