Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:  Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the negative battery cables.
2. Remove the sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove power steering pump.

4. Remove the sensor mounting bolt.

5. Remove the sensor from engine.

IMPORTANT:  Care must be taken when handling the sensor. Damage to the sensor will affect proper operation of the injection timing control
system.

6. Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks or leakage and replace if necessary.
