Evaporative Emissions Hose: Service and Repair

EVAP Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Chassis/Canister
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT:Clean all evaporative emission (EVAP) pipe connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting the pipes in order to avoid possible
EVAP system contamination.
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the chassis EVAP pipe.
3. Disconnect the EVAP pipe from the EVAP canister.
4. Remove the EVAP pipe from the clip.
5. Cap the chassis EVAP pipe and canister in order to prevent possible EVAP system contamination.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Remove the caps from the chassis EVAP pipe and canister.
2. Connect the EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister.
3. Connect the EVAP pipe to the chassis EVAP pipe.
4. Install the EVAP pipe to the clip.
5. Lower the vehicle.
