Exhaust Pipe/Muffler Hanger: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the protective shields as necessary.
3. Remove the rear exhaust system. Refer to Rear Exhaust System Replacement (Heavy Duly-6.0L).
4. Remove the catalytic convertor. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (Heavy Duty-6.0L).
5. Remove the front pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement (System B 6.0L.
6. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket bolts (2) (automatic transmission).
7. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket.
8. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket bolts (manual transmission).
9. Remove the exhaust hanger bracket.
