Fluid - Transfer Case: Service and Repair
New Venture Gear 243 Transfer Case (Electronic Shift)
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

Raise and support the vehicle.

Place a container under the drain plug to catch the oil.
1. Fill plug.
2. Drain plug. Allow the oil to drain.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Drain plug.

Tighten:
-
New Venture Gear drain plugs to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
2. Transfer case oil.

Fill the transfer case until the oil level is at the bottom of the oil fill plug hole.
3. Fill plug.

Tighten:
-
New Venture Gear fill plugs to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
