Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair
A constant bleed feature in the pressure regulator relieves pressure when the when the engine is turned "OFF".
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal to avoid possible fuel discharge if an accidental attempt is made to start the engine.
2. Loosen the fuel filler cap to relieve tank vapor pressure.
3. The internal constant bleed feature of TBI relieves fuel pump system pressure when the engine is turned "OFF". Therefore no further pressure
relief procedure is required.
