Vacuum Pump: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect:

1. Negative battery cable
2. Drive belt

Vacuum Pump With Air Conditioning

With Air Conditioning
3. Electrical connector at the A/C compressor

Loosen the through bolt under the compressor holding it to the bracket but do not remove it.

4. Remove bolts holding the compressor to the bracket without removing the A/C lines.
5. Rotate the compressor to the outside.
6. Remove vacuum hose.
7. Three bolts from the back of the bracket retaining the vacuum pump.
8. Vacuum pump from the bracket.
