K 2500 Truck Pitman Arm Repair & Service | Steering Component Information
INSTALL OR CONNECT
TOOLS REQUIRED:

J 29193 Steering Linkage installer (12 mm).
1. Pitman arm on to pitman shaft of steering gear. Line up the marks made at removal.
2. Pitman arm washer and nut.
TIGHTEN

Pitman arm nut to 250 Nm (184 lbs. ft.).
3. Steering gear to frame of vehicle.
4. Relay rod (14) to the pitman arm ball stud (5). Make sure the seal is on the stud.

Tighten J 29193 or J 29194 to 62 Nm (48 lbs. ft.) to seat the tapers. Remove the tool.
5. New relay rod prevailing torque nut (11) to the pitman arm ball stud (5).
TIGHTEN
^
Nut (11) to 70 Nm (52 ft.lbs.).
6. Lower the vehicle.
