Rear Wheel Steering Tie Rod End Replacement - Inner

J 44665-2 Inner Tie Rod Wrench

J 44665-1 Inner Tie Rod Wrench

Removal Procedure 

Notice:  Refer to Rear Wheel Steering Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel. 
3. Remove the rack and pinion boot from the steering gear. 

Important:  The inner tie rod support clamp has right hand threads. The inner tie rod support nut has left hand threads. To remove the support clamp
turn the clamp counterclockwise.

4. Using the J 44665-1 (1) and J 44665-2 (2) remove the inner tie rod support clamp.

5. Remove the inner tie rod (1) from the steering gear using the J 44665-2 (2).
