K 2500 Truck 4WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo VIN 1 (2002)
3. Install the indicator tube nut.
^
Tighten the nut to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the oil cooler lines at the transmission.
5. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
6. Raise the transmission.
7. Install the crossmember.
8. Install the insulator nuts to the exhaust manifold pipe hanger bracket/heat shield.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
9. Install the hanger bracket/heat shield bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
10. Tighten the left and right exhaust manifold pipe nuts.
^
Tighten the nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
11. Check the fluid level.
12. Install the transmission oil level indicator.
