TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 6.2L DIESEL ENGINE

General Motors has determined that certain 1982 C, K and P20-30 Series Light Duty Trucks equipped with RPO LL4 (6.2L diesel engine), NB2
(California Emissions) and a GVW rating of 8,600 through 10,000 lbs. sold for use in the State of California may have incorrect injection pump timing.
This over advanced timing may result in failure to comply with the California heavy duty emission standards.
To bring these vehicles into compliance with applicable California emission requirements, Chevrolet Dealers will retime the injection pump in
accordance with the instructions outlined in this bulletin.

should take the steps necessary to be sure the campaign correction has been made before reselling or releasing the vehicle.
Owners of vehicles recently sold from your new vehicle inventory are to be contacted by the dealer, and arrangements made to make the required
modification according to instructions contained in this bulletin.
