Setting of the throttle position switch (TPS) on 6.2L diesel LH6 engine (L.D.), must be correct to assure proper engine and transmission
operation.

Chart 1 displays the settings to use for the various Nationwide/ Federal/California engine transmission configurations. Locate the part
number on the face of the switch. Refer to the chart column listing that part number. Using the other vehicle parameters listed, a gage bar
setting can be determined. The 1982 Light Duty Truck Service Manual on page 6C6-2 (Figure 6C6-4) does not specify the dimensions of
the gage bar settings.

Reference is made to Kent-Moore tools available for this setting.
