overdrive manual transmission) and RPO GT4 (3.73 ratio) rear axle were assembled with the incorrect speedometer driven gear and sleeve assembly.
The incorrect speedometer driven gear will result in the speedometer indicating a vehicle speed which is approximately 20% slower than the actual
vehicle speed. For example, when the actual vehicle speed is 50 mph, the speedometer will indicate approximately 40 mph.
To correct this condition on your vehicle, your Chevrolet Dealer will install the correct speedometer driven gear and sleeve assembly. This installation
will be performed at no charge to you. Please contact your dealer to arrange a service date. Instructions have been furnished to your dealer. It is
estimated that the actual time necessary to perform the labor required will be approximately 20 minutes.
