Distributor Removal & Installation
Distributor Removal
1. Remove the spark plug wire clips from the spark plug wire brackets.
2. Remove the ignition coil wire from the ignition coil.
3. Remove two screws holding the distributor cap to the housing.
4. Distributor cap.
5. Remove the ignition coil bracket bolts from the upper intake manifold.
6. Remover the ignition coil from the upper intake manifold.
7. Remove the distributor hold down clamp bolt from the lower intake manifold.
8. Remove the distributor.
Distributor Installation
1. Bring the engine to TDC (Top Dead Center) cylinder #1 on the compression stroke.
Important: Distributor cap screws are not captured in the distributor cap.
2. Remove the distributor cap screws to expose the rotor.
