Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
Burnishing Pads and Rotors

After replacing the brake linings and/or refinishing rotors, the new braking surface should be broken in, or burnished. To burnish, make 20 stops from 48
km (30 mph)
using a medium to firm brake pedal pressure. Be careful not to overheat the breaks while performing the burnishing procedure.
