8. Remove the linkage rod (1) from the endgate handle assembly.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the linkage rod to the endgate handle assembly.

2. Engage the linkage rod (1) to the latch assembly.
3. Install the endgate latch assembly. Refer to Endgate Latch Replacement   (See: Tailgate Latch/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).
4. Raise the endgate.

5. Install the endgate handle bezel. Pressing into place until fully seated.
