Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
Burnishing Pads and Rotors

After replacing the brake linings and/or refinishing rotors, you should burnish the new braking surface. In order to burnish, make 20 stops from 48 km
(30 mph)
 using a medium to firm brake pedal pressure. Be careful not to overheat the breaks while performing the burnishing procedure.
