Power Steering Line/Hose: Service and Repair
Power Steering Hose Routing
Remove or Disconnect
^
Raise vehicle.
1. Inlet and outlet lines from steering gear.
^
Place drain pan under vehicle to catch any fluid that may drain.
2. Clamp from frame.
3. Inlet and outlet hoses from pump.
Inspect
^
O-rings, replace as necessary.
Install or Connect
1. O-rings as necessary.
2. Inlet and outlet hoses to pump.
^
Do not tighten at this time.
3. Inlet and outlet lines to steering gear.
Tighten
^
Fittings to 27 N.m (20 lb. ft.)
4. Clamp to frame.
^
Lower vehicle.
^
Fill the system.
^
Bleed the system.
